Biography
Solomiia Fliunt is a Ukrainian entrepreneur, international cooperation specialist, and communications expert, recognized for her work in public administration, media, and diplomacy. She has extensive experience in international relations, diplomatic communications, journalism, and business consulting.
Early Life and Education
Born in Ukraine, Solomiia excelled academically and graduated from high school with honors in 2014.
She pursued higher education at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI), where she obtained a Master’s degree in Journalism in 2020. During her university years, she was actively involved in academic research, participated in international exchange programs, and worked with various media outlets as a journalist and editor.
Career
While still in university, Solomiia began working in media and communications, collaborating with multiple Ukrainian and international outlets as a journalist, translator, and editor. She specialized in analytical articles, interviews, and content creation for media and business projects.
In 2017, she started working at the National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine, where she organized events, managed PR campaigns, and developed international partnerships.
By 2019, she transitioned into the public sector, working as a press secretary for a Ukrainian parliamentary candidate and later joining the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine. At just 24 years old, in 2022, she was appointed Head of the International Cooperation Department, overseeing Ukraine’s international tourism relations.
Evacuation to Japan and New Ventures
Following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Solomiia was forced to evacuate to Japan.
Settling in Tokyo, she entered a new phase of her career, launching an entrepreneurial venture, starting a media project about life in Japan, and founding Solomiya's Association, an organization focused on business consulting, charitable initiatives, and international cooperation.
Today, she actively collaborates with Japanese and global companies, supports Ukrainian refugees in Japan, and builds strategic partnerships for Ukraine’s reconstruction.
