Solomiya Association Launch Event
On February 21, about 80 people, including Ukrainian experts, representatives of Japanese companies, and volunteers, gathered in Tokyo for this event. The Solomiya Association is not only a place to support the employment of Ukrainian refugees, but also a valuable opportunity to build new business opportunities and cooperative relationships.
About 20 Ukrainians with diverse skills, including university students, doctors, designers, and IT specialists, participated in the exchange meeting. They introduced themselves in Japanese and exchanged information about the industries they hope to work in. In particular, medical professionals expressed that "acquiring Japanese language proficiency is necessary to obtain a medical license, but it would be great to be able to work in the medical field."
To support Ukrainian refugees, the Solomiya Association donated a portion of the event's proceeds to the "Ukraine Mental Health Care Exchange Center 'Sunflower'".
The donation money collected at the Solomiya Association's charity event was directly delivered by representative Flyunt Solomiya. The donation amount was 108,000 yen, which was handed over to the "Sunflower" in Shibuya.
This donation will be used to purchase a set of calligraphy supplies for art therapy workshops conducted in Ukraine. The necessary tools, such as brushes, ink, and Japanese paper, will be provided so that children can learn the joy of expressing themselves through calligraphy and receive mental care.
Preparations are currently underway to implement therapy programs in various parts of Ukraine, and it is expected that the inclusion of calligraphy will contribute to the creativity and emotional stability of the children.
The Solomiya Association will continue its activities to support Ukrainian refugees and people in difficult situations within Ukraine. We appreciate your continued cooperation and support.
